93 CHAPEL - SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - 2006
INVITATION
September
11, 2006 is the Fifth Anniversary of 9/11/01. Because of its significant
milestone as a major anniversary, inquiries and requests have been received by
Flight 93 Memorial Chapel regarding the ceremonies scheduled at the Chapel, with
requests for performances, presentations and/or tributes in honor of Flight 93.
This
invitation is issued to all Families and Friends of Flight 93, and to groups,
civic, religious, and communal, and others, who would like to request to be
included in the Chapel schedule of Sunday, September 10, 2006, and Monday,
September 11, 2006.
During
those two days, all events and ceremonies are dedicated to all the innocents who
perished September 11, 2001, and specifically, to the Forty Heroes of Flight 93.
Tributes
from individuals may be personal in nature. It is requested that groups who
offer to perform, present their program in the format of a General Dedication to
the Heroes of Flight 93, although they may dedicate a specific piece to a
particular individual Hero.
Members
of the Families of Flight 93 will be given priority of preference.
The
Chapel is a nondenominational house of worship and of prayer. It does not
proselytize and is respectful of all religions and all people of good
faith. Prayers of Thanksgiving and Worship are appropriate, and are
welcome. Sermons and other messages of spiritual exhortation are
restricted to the prayer or worship services as they are already scheduled
throughout the Anniversary Observance. Political and/or social
declarations are inapproriate.
Requests
for consideration of inclusion in the schedule may be e-mailed directly to the
Chapel.
Please include the
following information:
